Bin Khadem: "Zayed’s Day" confirms UAE's continuous giving

On the occasion of the "Zayed Day for Humanitarian Action", which falls on 19th Ramadan each year, and coincides with the anniversary of the departure of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the Sharjah Human Resources Directorate (SHRD), confirmed that this day embodies the feelings of appreciation and entrenches the values of loyalty, giving and gratitude to the founder of the march and builder of the UAE’s renaissance, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the symbol of humanity and open– ended giving.
He said that it is a memory that renews the founding leader's approach, and recalls his humanitarian exploits and accomplishments that have reached, with the UAE’s assistance, to every needy inside and outside the country. It is a continuation of the UAE's march of volunteering and humanitarian giving, and an annual translation in which the meanings of human cohesion and solidarity are embodied under the guidance and directives of the country’s wise leadership.

He added that the annual event confirms the commitment of the people of the UAE to keep following the traces of the founding father who devoted his efforts to support the goodness and humanity at both local and global levels, and to serve the people regardless of their gender, colour, race and religion.

Bin Khadem continued: “We are all proud of this great heritage and legacy, and the noble values that were rooted in the souls of the Emiratis, renewing the pledge to our government under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who traced the path set by the founding father, taking the responsibility to continue the march of goodness, benevolence, tolerance and humanity.”
